Delightful chicken tenders with a perfect balance of sweetness from honey and a kick of heat from hot sauce. Easy to prepare and a crowd-pleaser for all ages.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound chicken tenders
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the cornstarch, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Coat each chicken tender in the cornstarch mixture.
  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the chicken tenders until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side.
  4. In a separate saucepan, combine the hot sauce, honey, and soy sauce, and bring to a simmer.
  5. Toss the cooked chicken tenders in the sauce until well coated.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For extra crunch, double coat the chicken tenders by dipping them in the cornstarch mixture twice before frying. Adjust the heat level by using a milder or spicier hot sauce based on your preference. To bake, coat and bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes, turning once.
