Deliciously loaded baked potatoes topped with tender grilled steak and aromatic garlic herb butter.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 1 lb grilled steak (cubed)
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh herbs (parsley, chives, or thyme)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sour cream (for serving)
  • Shredded cheese (for topping)
  • Green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Wash and scrub the potatoes, then pierce them with a fork several times.
  2. Bake the potatoes directly on the oven rack for about 45-60 minutes, or until they are tender.
  3. While the potatoes are baking, grill the steak to your desired doneness, then cube it into bite-sized pieces.
  4. In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat and add minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, then stir in the fresh herbs.
  5. Once the potatoes are done, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool slightly.
  6. Cut a slit in the top of each potato and gently squeeze the sides to open them up.
  7. Fill each potato with the grilled steak cubes, drizzle with the garlic herb butter, and season with salt and pepper.
  8. Top with sour cream, shredded cheese, and garnish with green onions before serving.

Notes

For extra crispy skin, rub the potatoes with a bit of oil before baking.
