Ground Beef Philly Cheesesteak

A quick and easy dish that brings the iconic flavors of Philadelphia right to your kitchen.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 8 ounces provolone cheese, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sub rolls or hoagie bread

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced onion and green bell pepper, and sauté until tender.
  3. Push the veggies to one side of the skillet and add the ground beef to the other side, cooking until browned.
  4. Mix the cooked beef with the veggies and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Place provolone cheese over the mixture in the last minute of cooking and cover to melt.
  6. Toast the sub rolls if desired, then fill with beef, veggie, and cheese mixture.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding garlic or your favorite seasonings to the meat. You can also use other types of cheese like cheddar or mozzarella if preferred.
