Roasted cabbage steaks are a delightful and healthy alternative to traditional side dishes, offering a crispy texture and natural sweetness.

  • 1 large cabbage
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Slice the cabbage into 3/4-inch steaks.
  3. Mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl.
  4. Brush both sides of each cabbage steak with the oil and seasoning mixture.
  5. Place the cabbage steaks on a baking sheet and roast for 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through.
  6. Remove from the oven once golden and crispy. Garnish as desired, and serve.

Notes

Leftover roasted cabbage steaks can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For a deeper flavor, marinate in the oil and spices for 30 minutes before roasting.
